Oreino Marakas Organic EVOO
OREiNO Marakas Organic EVOO is a blend of the Koroneiki (90%) and the Tsounati (10%) varieties. Its limited production volume and its particular cultivation make it rich in organoleptic characteristics.
Namely a moderately intense fruity aroma of fresh grass, herbs and tomato, with a delicate bitter and spicy flavour creating a harmonious balance.

Description
OREiNO Marakas Organic EVOOThe olive groves of OREiNO Marakas are located on mountain terraces in the areas of Kyparissos-Manolopoulos in Chania, western Crete, with about 10.000 olive trees, some of which are over fifty years old. Olive trees are cultivated with the organic farming method certified by BIOHELLAS-BIOSUISSE, following the strictest specifications to ensure the best quality of the juice extracted.
Olive harvest takes place when the fruit is still unripe with the use of power tools free of internal combustion engines for the purpose of eliminating exhaust debris. The oil extraction is carried out in the privately owned mill using the cold pressed method including the removal of the olive core. After its removal, the extra virgin olive oil OREiNO Marakas is filtered and is stored in stainless steel tanks using argon until its bottling day.
The varieties cultivated for the production of Oreino Marakas Organic EVOO are mainly Koroneiki and to a lesser extent Tsounati.
